Auston Matthews shined at NHL All-Star 2024 thanks to a little help from his secret weapon, Finn.

Finn is a seven-and-a-half-year-old Maple Leafs fan who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis a few years back. Finn was invited by the SickKids Foundation and CCM to design the skates that Auston Matthews, his hero, would wear during the All-Star game in February.

To close off All-Star weekend, Auston took home the All-Star MVP award after Team Matthews defeated Team McDavid with a 7-4 victory.

Auston Matthews is a long-time supporter of the SickKids Foundation, where he surprised Finn during the design process. Finn’s once-in-a-lifetime experience didn’t end there! He got to partake in the NHL All-Star hype by attending the game, as well as receiving one more surprise from the man himself.

Watch the video below to meet Finn, see his awesome surprise, and hear more about Auston’s dedication to helping the SickKids Foundation.
